BOSMA. Volume 01
The first volume of BOSMA is dedicated to the Bukhara Biennial — a meeting point of contemporary art and traditional craftsmanship. Bringing together artists, artisans, designers and thinkers from Uzbekistan, Central Asia and beyond, the issue features interviews and dialogues with Subodh Gupta, Davlat Toshev, Aziza Shadenova, Saule Suleimenova, Slavs and Tatars, Shakuntala Kulkarni and others.

The cover itself becomes a map of the Biennial, tracing its places, encounters and connections. Alongside visual stories and photo shoots, the issue includes essays, interviews and dialogues, as well as visits to architecture and craftsmanship studios.

BOSMA. Volume 02
The second volume of BOSMA turns its focus to the evolving cultural landscape of Central Asia, beginning with the opening of CCA Tashkent. The issue features the artists shaping the new institution, including Ali Cherri, Nadia Kaabi-Linke, Kimsooja and Nari Ward.

The issue also includes conversations with the architects of Studio KO, an interview with Vyacheslav Akhunov, alongside an essay exploring contemporary artistic practice by Antony Gormley.

Together, these stories follow a new cultural geography, one shaped by artists, architects, musicians, theatres and institutions, and increasingly connected to the wider international art world.

MISSION
To document, preserve, and reinterpret the cultural pulse of Central Asia. To create a space where voices from the region resonate freely and confidently. To encourage dialogue, connection, and openness to the vivid diversity of experience and expression within the global conversation on contemporary art. To offer not representation, but presence.
